Keep Your Cool Game
|Grades 3-6| This game emphasizes the effect attitude has on behavior. The game can be introduced by reading a short story about "Self-Control Seth" and "Bad Attitude Brittany." After reading the story and asking some comprehension questions, players begin the game by moving their playing pieces around the colorful gameboard. As they move around the gameboard, players encounter spaces describing positive and negative behaviors and are instructed to move forward or backward several spaces. When landing on Happy Face spaces, players choose a "Smart Choice" card (incidents on them relate to good behavior). When landing on Sad Face spaces, players choose an Oh, No Card (incidents on them relate to poor behavior), and question marks instruct players to choose a Question Card. Also included are ideas for reinforcing the concepts presented in the game. For 2-8 Players.
- Colorful 17" x 17" gameboard printed on medium-weight glossy paper.
- Dice and 8 pawns.
- Cardstock game cards (cutting required).

I purchased this game at a conference; however, I did not get the two stories mentioned above. Also, You cannot place the laminated type game board in a 4" package tube because it curls up and no amount of rolling it in the opposite way helps. We literally have to place weighted objects on the game board to be able to play. It does not fold well either. Otherwise, I really like the game.
