Creatures of Character for Grades 2-3

|Grades 2-3| Creatures of Character is a curriculum that will teach children character traits in ways they will really remember.

First, each character trait is taught for four sessions. This format reinforces the trait being taught in a consistent manner over a short period of time. Secondly, each character trait is related to an animal that uses the same trait in its everyday living. Children relate well to animals, making this a relevant approach.

The 2-3 module includes: The Creatures of Character Leader's Manual for Grades 2-3, three cassette tapes with recordings of the stories, The Tracks To Citizenship Gameboard, Pouch of Caring Actions Poster, and Caring Carol Pelican Club Pictures. Packed with activities, this program will keep students interested as they learn important character traits. The animals and their traits are: Justice Miriam B. Eagle--Fairness, Albert B. Lion--Courage, Caring Carol Pelican--Caring, Citizen Rachel Raccoon--Citizenship, Respectful Pat Bat--Respect, and Bertram V. Beaver--Responsibility.
